Summit Young Artist Concerts present Minnesota student musicians in concert. Concerts are free and open to the public to attend! These one hour concerts give music students up to age 18 a unique non-audition performance opportunity usually held during certain school year or summer times when most studios are not having recitals. Students of any instrument/voice, solo or chamber ensemble, any private studio and any part of MN are invited to perform! The Summit Young Artist Concert venues include outreach concerts at libraries, assisted living faclitites, nursing homes and churches. Private teacher permission is required to perform. Each concert lasts about 60 minutes. Rehearsal with professional accompaniment is set up for the day of the concert or the same weekend. Memorization of solo works is encouraged but not mandatory. Music should be performance ready. Concert dress is semi-formal. A non-refundable registration fee is required (refunded only if event is cancelled/rescheduled).
**Advanced repertoire such as concertos may require an extra rehearsal/fee if you have not rehearsed/performed the piece with piano before. Parts for piano accompaniment must be mailed no later than 3 weeks before the concert date. Originals must be used in performance**
